This privacy policy outlines the types of information collected by the Next Available plugin, how it is used, and the security measures in place to protect it.
The plugin utilizes https://buddyclients.com as a proxy server, meaning requests to authenticate Google accounts are routed through our server. This improves the ease of setup while maintaining security standards.
1. Information We Collect
The proxy server collects the following information:
- OAuth Tokens: Access tokens and refresh tokens required to access your Google Calendar on your behalf. These are stored securely only as needed for functionality.
- IP Addresses and Request Metadata: Basic server logs including IP addresses, timestamps, and browser user-agent strings generated during API requests. These are processed temporarily and not stored long-term.
- Error and Debug Information: Non-personal diagnostic data related to API communication errors or failures.
All of the information collected is anonymous. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or payment information. This information is stored on the proxy server only long enough to complete the action. No data is stored long-term on the proxy server.
2. Purpose of Data Collection
We collect the above information for the following purposes:
- Google Authorization: All data is used to connect and authorize your Google Calendar integration.
3. Data Retention
All data collected by the proxy server—including OAuth tokens, IP addresses, request metadata, and error/debug information—is processed in real time and stored only temporarily, for up to sixty seconds, solely to complete the authorization or related processes.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share any data collected by the plugin with third parties.
5. User Control Over Data
Because all of the data we collect is anonymous and retained briefly, there is no way for users to access, correct, or delete this information. The data is used solely for the purposes outlined above and does not include any personally identifiable information.
6. Security Measures
We take the security of your information seriously and employ several measures to protect it:
- Secure Servers: All data is transmitted through secure servers.
- API Keys: Access to our systems is controlled via secure API keys.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices or legal requirements. Any changes will be noted in the plugin’s changelog, which is accessible through the “details” link on the the plugin page of the WordPress admin area.
